Rakeback
Rake is the share of each pot or buy-in the room keeps. Rakeback gives part of it back to you. Here is what Basepoker and WePlay give back, and when.
What rakeback is
In a cash game the room takes a few percent of each pot, up to a cap. In a tournament it takes a fee on top of the buy-in. That is the rake. Rakeback is a share of your own rake paid back to you. It does not depend on whether you win or lose, so over many hands it is the steadiest money in poker.
Two things matter: the percentage, and when it is paid. A room that pays every week pays you whether you keep playing or not.
Basepoker
Basepoker pays 32% on poker, credited as you play. You claim it whenever you like, and higher ranks pay more.
WePlay
WePlay pays 30% of your rake. It lands in your balance every Monday.
Work it out for your own game
The rakeback calculator turns your stakes and hours into a monthly figure. If you want to know what you are getting a share of, how poker rake works explains the fee itself, with each room's figures.
